NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores

Newly Expanded NC Aquarium

The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores celebrated its 30 year anniversary in September '06. Expansion was complted on the aquarium eariler in the year and several new exhibits were added. The aquarium's theme is "from the North Carolina mountains to the sea". The expansion added exhibits that displays huge sharks along with plenty of other saltwater and freshwater animals, including river otters. Additionally, there is a great exhibit of shipwrecks.

NC Aquarium Hours and Directions

The NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores is open all year, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Aquarium is located at Mile Marker 7, just to the west of Atlantic Beach, NC. When you are vacationing on the NC Crystal Coast, make sure you plan a trip to this great place!
