2007 Emerald Isle Triathlon - Emerald Isle NC

Attention all you triathletes! For the fourth consecutive year, Emerald Isle NC will host the Emerald Isle Triathlon Saturday, October 20, 2007 starting at 8:00a.m. It will consist of a 750-meter swim, followed by a 12-mile bike race and concluding with a 5K run. Last year, more than 200 competed, so if you are into triathlons, don't miss out!

The swim will take place in the Atlantic Ocean. Then, contestants will compete in an out-and-back bike race ending up with the 5K out-and-back run, both on paved roads.

The Emerald Isle Triathlon is a great race for many area triathletes. Most are excited that they can participate in the triathlon right in their own backyard.

There will be awards for the top three male and top three female finishers, plus the top three finishers in each of these age divisions:

The entry fees: $43 for USAT-members, $55 for non-members and $100 for teams. Register up until October 1. Note: there will be no race day registration. This year, the field will be limited to 300 entrants. Click here for more information and to download an entry form.

 
¤Emerald Isle NC is located at the end of the Outer Banks of the
North Carolina coast. Vacationers love this family-friendly beach and thats why vacationers flock here every summer. The Triathlon is just one of the activities to keep you busy.
